Rana takes mantle as the first woman president of FNCCI


 April 12  Kathmandu : For the first time in history of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI), a woman has been picked as President of the umbrella body.
Bhawani Rana was elected to the coveted post of FNCCI President by its 51st annual general assembly yesterday. She is the 18th FNCCI President.
Having joined the umbrella body of the country’s private sector since 2062 B.S., Rana was elected as member of FNCCI women’s executive committee in 2064-067 B.S.
Earlier she successfully completed her tenure as President of Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Committee while still serving for Sneha Group Private Limited in Banke as Managing Director.
She is also working for Sneha Cultural Entertainment Private Limited as President, Sneha B&S Collaboration Private Limited as Managing Director and Padhya Creation Private Limited as Director. She is also promoter of SAARC Chamber of Craft Village and Bageshwori Development Bank.
Having completed school level education from St. Mary’s High School in Kathmandu, she earned her Master’s degree in political science from Lucknow University in India.
Meanwhile, Shekhar Golchha was elected senior Vice President while Pramod Shrestha, Umesh Lal Shrestha and Chandra Prasad Dhakal Vice Presidents. Pramod represents district\municipal chambers, Umesh Lal commodities associations and Dhakal associates group. RSS
